Casiotone for the Painfully Alone

There are a lot of lo-fi indie mopey bedroom folk singer-songwriters. They sing awkwardly personal lyrics and the tape fuzz is a more prominent instrument than the acoustic guitar. (Old stuff by the Mountain Goats is the best example of what I'm talking about.) Yeah, Owen Ashworth (a.k.a. Casiotone for the Painfully Alone) basically does that except with synthesizers and drum machines instead of acoustic guitars. These are his three most recent studio albums. My favorite is Etiquette, even though its variety of guest singers destroy the flow, I like all of the songs individually. The Ashworth-sung tracks on that album make an excellent EP-like playlist. The other two albums are sung entirely by Ashworth.

I would normally try to not post fan videos but cftpa suck live.
